When a collector requested the creation of a watch to celebrate the anniversary of his family’s construction company, I thought a staircase, meandering endlessly upwards, would perfectly symbolise the occasion.

The hypnotic swirl of a spiral staircase finds it’s way onto the watch dial with raised steps, endlessly rotating between three heights, in a brilliant play on scale and symmetry. The repetition and movement of the design purposely leads the eye to the centre of the dial. Simple hands and a lone number twelve balance the dial, bringing harmony to the design. The customisation was completed by the addition of the engraving of the company’s establishing year on the bottom lug.
